According to my sweet loving mother, my face looks uneven this week. She said that now one side of my face is more "swollen" looking than the other side. My face shouldn't be swollen in the first place. Why she chose to use that word, I don't know. This comment has made me self-conscious about the balance of my face. I never examined my face before to determine whether or not it was symmetrical. I noticed now that it is slightly bigger on one side.

It must be the way I'm sleeping. Since it's Spring Break, I sleep late into the afternoon. When I'm sleeping with the sun out, I sleep on the sides of my face to block the sunlight from getting into my eyes. Is it the amount of time I spend sleeping on each side of my face?

Did this just recently happen or has it been that way all along?

Note: I don't know whether to use the word lying or laying when referring to when I'm ___ in bed. Hence why I use the word sleep so much in this post because I'm avoiding my stupidity. Lying or laying? I always used the word laying before, but according to Google, it should be lying. So what way is correct? I feel like an idiot for not knowing the difference.

Don't worry. Nobody's face, or body, is proportional. One side is usually always bigger than the other. Even hands and feet! All the way up to the details on your face..
